Rooted in the belief that the world needs more art, Dharamkot Pottery Studio in India, is dedicated to creating spaces and opportunities for people to engage with Pottery and art — by making, learning, and sharing it.
In 2019, inspired by this idea, our journey began as a pottery studio in a small hut in a village called Dharamkot in Himachal Pradesh — the place that gave us our name. We chose clay as our medium — natural, simple, and full of possibilities.
At Dharamkot Studio, we organize pottery workshops, retreats, courses, and residencies — open to everyone who loves art or is simply curious to explore it.
This 5-day pottery retreat offers a chance to step away from the rush of daily life and immerse yourself in the calming rhythm of creativity. Set in a serene mountain setting, it includes daily hands-on sessions in hand-building and wheel-throwing. You’ll learn centering, pulling, pinching, coiling, slab building, and glazing—guided by experienced instructors and suitable for all skill levels. Working with clay is deeply meditative, teaching patience, adaptability, and joy. Beyond the studio, enjoy nourishing home-style meals, guided meditation, sound bath, a short city tour, forest walk, and meaningful connections.
Workshops
(Non-Residential)
For those passionate about exploring ceramics, we offer 1–5 day workshops centered around wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques. Whether you can join for just one day or a few, you’ll enjoy hands-on sessions with expert guidance from our instructors. Each workshop is designed to provide individual attention, helping you learn the essentials of working with clay, from shaping to finishing.
