“Fire is a good servant but a bad master.” — Traditional proverb.
Dear friends,
We hope this letter finds you calm, safe, and surrounded by little joys.
As many of you know, the recent tensions between India and Pakistan caused sudden flight cancellations, gently disrupting our plans and affecting two of our retreats. We felt the absence of those who couldn’t make it, and we hold your presence with us in spirit. Thank you for your patience, your trust, and your continued support.
But just like clay that adapts to the potter’s hands, we too shift and reshape. The wheel never stops turning, and we’re moving forward with new dates, courses, and stories to share. In the midst of uncertainty, we return to what we know best—making with our hands, creating with our hearts, and welcoming each season as it comes. We hope you’ll join us for what’s ahead.

Artist Spotlight: In Conversation with Anton Filonov
Anton’s work is like a quiet cup of tea—unassuming but deeply warming. His teapots hold stories of Himachali hills, stillness, and the gentle rhythm of making. His time at the studio left us with pieces that continue to speak softly from our shelves.
Pottery Retreats: Slow Down & Shape Something Real
Our retreats are not just about clay—they are about listening. Listening to the breath, to the mountain wind, to the silence between thoughts. Step away from the rush, and into a space where hands move slowly, intentionally, and with joy.
Whether you’re new to clay or returning home to it, our retreats offer time to connect—to earth, to others, and to yourself. Come to rest, to make, to dream.
Meet the Artists: Dharamkot Studio’s 2025 Residents & Instructors
We are honoured to be joined this year by an inspiring circle of artists in residence—each one bringing their heart, curiosity, and creative spirit into our studio. Their workshops are more than just lessons; they are invitations into their way of seeing, shaping, and sharing.
